Technology is published quarterly. However, it provide "Early View", as an Online Version of Record before publication and inclusion in an issue. "Early View" presents full-text, peer-reviewed, just accepted and typeset articles as soon as they are complete, before the release of the compiled issue.

The editors accelerate the peer review process for a small number of Articles of high originality, significance, and conceptual novelty that are of interest to the wide contemporary readership of Technology.

Editorial Process

1. Submission: The author submits a manuscript and it receives a tracking number.
2. Preliminary review: All manuscripts are screened by editors before they are sent out for external review.
3. Peer review: The editor assigns 3~5 reviewers to the manuscript. Reviewers agree to review the manuscript and submit their reports to the editor.
4. Decision: The editor make a final decision based on the comments (accept, further revisions or reject) or, less often, may choose to send the manuscript back to reviewers.5. Page proof: For accepted manuscripts, authors will receive PDF proofs of their papers by email.

 Appeals

If as an author you receive a decision that your paper is deemed unsuitable for publication, and you believe an appeal is warranted, please contact the journal editorial office with the request for an appeal. The staff will then open an Appeal process for your paper. A final ruling will be made by the editorial board as soon as possible.

Covers and Other Artwork

Authors of accepted papers are encouraged to submit images for consideration as a cover image. Cover images are normally linked to a specific paper in that issue, but we may also be able to use other images elsewhere in the journal, such as for the hero image (top of page) on the journal website or on the table of contents. Images are selected for their scientific interest and aesthetic appeal. Please send electronic files along with a clear and concise legend explaining the image.

Special Issues

All manuscripts submitted to Special Issues are assessed according to the journal's standard editorial criteria and are subject to all of the standard Editorial Policies. The content of the submission will also be assessed to ensure it lies within the scope of the Special Issue.

All submissions that meet the journal's criteria for peer review will undergo the journal's standard peer review process. Please visit the journal's website for information on the review process used. The peer review of any submissions, for which the Guest Editors of the Special Issue have competing interests with, is handled by another Editor, who has no competing interests, to ensure the evaluation of these submissions is objective.
